A moment with Doctor Peter Forbes
Are you aware of your risk factors?
The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a calculation that indicates the risk of developing diseases and weight-related health problems.
Calculate you BMI :

Chart to evaluate your Body Mass Index (BMI) result:
Waist Circumference - Apple or Pear Shape
Waist measurement is a better predictor of diabetes and heart disease than the Body Mass Index (BMI). Waist Measurement is an indicator of abdominal or visceral obesity. Fat deposits in the waist area and in the torso (apple shape) are associated with greater health risks than excess fat in hip or thigh areas (pear shape). A waist measurement equal to or greater than 102 cm or 40'' for men or 88 cm or 35" for women is associated with increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, hypertension and gastric reflux (GERD).
